- Ensure that diagnostics methods and parameters are type checked so that we can
catch any potential issues.
- Move plinth/modules/diagnostics/check.py to plinth/diagnostic_check.py to
avoid many circular dependencies created. This is due to
plinth.modules.diagnostics automatically imported when
plinth.modules.diagnostics.check is imported. Also app.py is already (type)
dependent on diagnostic_check due to diagnose() method. To make the Check
classes independent of diagnostic module is okay.
Tests:
- Run make check-type.
- Run full diagnostics with following apps installed: torproxy, tor.
- Test to netcat to 9051 in tor works.
- Test 'port available for internal/external networks' in firewall works.
- Test 'Package is latest' works.
- Test 'Access url with proxy' in privoxy works.

- Due to a changed behavior in pytest 8.x, any imports with 'setup_module' name
will be treated as a method to setup the module in the style of unittest/nose.
pytest tries to call this as a method and will fail.
- Rename the import to 'setup_module_' instead of 'setup_module' to fix this issue.

- Set unique check_id for each diagnostic check.
- Result is a string-based enumeration. The default value (NOT_DONE) can be
used for diagnostic checks that have not been completed yet.
- Result is StrEnum so that the return value of check_url can still be used
directly as a diagnostic result.

- Includes SocksPort and "Download software packages over Tor" feature,
as well as setting upstream bridges.
- "Download software packages over Tor" option is enabled by default.
- When upgrading, if Tor app was enabled and "Download software
packages over Tor" was enabled, then Tor Proxy will be installed.
- The default tor instance is now called tor@default. The "tor" service
is an multi-instance master that has Wants relation all instances.
Tests:
- Tests for Tor and Tor Proxy passed.
- Enable Tor, and run the tests for Tor Proxy. Afterwards, Tor is still
enabled and running.
- Enable Tor Proxy, and run the tests for Tor. Afterwards, Tor Proxy is
still enabled and running.
- Test setting upstream bridges for Tor and Tor Proxy.
- Install FreedomBox 23.11 in a VM and install Tor with default
settings. Install new FreedomBox version with Tor Proxy. After
install, both Tor and Tor Proxy apps are installed and running.
/etc/tor/instances/{plinth,fbxproxy}/torrc both have expected content.

- When hidden service is enabled create and enable an apache site with the
proper configurations. This will let visitors using the Tor browser that a
hidden version of the website is available.
- Disable apache site when hidden service is disabled
- Create a backup of the apache site
- Hidden service won't be advertised when the user visits mediawiki, wordpress
or tt-rss. These sites don't work (well) with a hidden service when a normal
domain is already set up.
Tests:
- Functional tests pass.
- With fresh install of Tor app, onion location header apache configuration is
enabled and header is served in HTTP requests.
- When Onion services are enabled/disabled, header is enabled/disabled due to
webserver configuration changes.
- When Tor app is enabled/disabled, header is enabled/disabled due to webserver
configuration being enabled/disabled.
- When Tor app is upgraded from earlier version while app is enabled, onion
service is enabled, Tor app remains enabled. Onion location is enabled.

module.app property usage is greatly reduced because setup() and force_upgrade()
method are now part of App class instead of at the module level. Remove the
remaining minor cases of usage and drop the property altogether.

- Primary purpose is to complete the App API and allow for multiple apps to be
present in a module without a single clashing setup() method. Secondary
objective is to get rid of SetupHelper instance simple use App instance instead.
- This brings us closer to not needing to implement setup() method for some of
the typical apps.
- Remove default value None for old_version parameter.
- A valid integer value is always passed to this call.
- The value of None is undefined.
- Simplifies the App API slightly.
- Drop setting 'pre', 'post' values to indicate the stage of setup for the App.
- Simplifies the setup methods significantly. Eliminates a class of
bugs (some of them seen earlier).
- The UI can show a simple 'installing...' or progress spinner instead of
individual stages.
- There are currently many inconsistencies where many operations are not
wrapped in helper.call() calls.

- ugettext functions will be removed in Django 4.0. Each use emits a warning
when running with Django 3.2. Since we have warnings enabled in developer mode,
we see quite a few messages because of this.
- ugettext is already a simple alias of gettext. So, no regressions are
expected.
Tests:
- Accessing an affected app in UI with Django 3.2 and Django 2.2 works fine.
- Using Django 3.2 there are no warnings related to removal of ugettext
functions.
- Ran regular unit tests.

This is a fix for regression introduced by
ebe6a0ed026e27dc650b4c2fed8426357f959ddc. I have incorrectly assumed that
providing only IPv6 ORPort is sufficient to listen on IPv4 and IPv6. As a
result, Tor does not run when relay is enabled. Fix this by adding ORPorts for
both IPv6 and IPv4.
Tests performed:
- Tor shows as running after enabling relay functionality.
- Adding single or multiple ORPort values in the configuration file leads to
actions/tor get-status reporting that relay is enabled.
- Functional tests for Tor run properly.
