They are listed under the <emphasis>Removable Devices</emphasis> section along with an option to eject them. </para><para>If there is some free space left after the root partition, the option to expand the root partition is also available. This is typically not shown, since expanding the root partition happens automatically when the FreedomBox starts up for the first time. </para><para><inlinemediaobject><imageobject><imagedata fileref="https://wiki.debian.org/FreedomBox/Manual/Storage?action=AttachFile&do=get&target=Storage.png" width="800"/></imageobject><textobject><phrase>Storage.png</phrase></textobject></inlinemediaobject> </para><section><title>Advanced Storage Operations</title><para>Cockpit provides many advanced storage features over those offered by FreedomBox. Both FreedomBox and Cockpit operate over Udisks2 storage daemon and are hence compatible with each other. Some of the functions provided by Cockpit include: </para><itemizedlist><listitem><para>Format a disk or partition with a fresh filesystem </para></listitem><listitem><para>Add, remove partitions or wipe the partition table </para></listitem><listitem><para>Create and unlock encrypted file systems </para></listitem><listitem><para>Create and manage RAID devices
